Rocket Exhibit at Stanford KIPAC Community Day
We had a truly incredible day at the Stanford KIPAC Community Day, where thousands of visitors stopped by to explore the Galactic Getaway rocket display. From wide-eyed elementary school students to enthusiastic high schoolers and supportive parents, our booth was buzzing with energy and curiosity all day long.
What We Showcased
- Six next-generation rockets including Starship, SLS, Vulcan Centaur, Neutron, Falcon Heavy, and New Glenn
- High-fidelity 1:144 scale models not yet seen in public museums
- Engaging explanations about engines, fuels, and missions for each rocket
- A fun comparison of "How many Cybertrucks can these rockets carry?"
Kid-Powered Curiosity
Children and teens gathered around the display in awe, pointing, asking questions, and even sketching the rockets they loved most. Some of our favorite questions included "Which rocket goes to Mars?", "Can I build one like this someday?", and "Is this real?"
Over 2,000 #ThinkBigFlyFar stickers were handed out to kids (and a few very excited adults), encouraging them to wear their curiosity with pride. This is more than just a sticker – it’s a mission mindset.
Bring the Display to Your Community
We’re now scheduling 2–4 week rotations of our display box at local libraries, schools, museums and community centers – at no cost. Want to bring Galactic Getaway to your town?
Thank you to the Stanford Astrophysics Department and everyone at KIPAC for letting us share our mission. The future of space belongs to those who dare to dream – and we met many of them at this event.
